Bridges

Link the islands: every number met, nothing crossing.

Preparing today's puzzle…

How to play Bridges

  1. Join the islands with bridges so that every island's number is the total of bridges touching it, and every island can be reached from every other.
  2. A bridge is a straight line, across or down, between two islands with nothing in between. A pair of islands carries one bridge or two. Bridges never cross another bridge or an island.
  3. Tap between two islands to build a bridge, tap again for a double bridge, a third time to clear. An island turns quiet once its number is met.
  4. Start with the islands that have no choice: an island that sees only one other sends everything there; an 8 in the open sends two bridges each way; a 3 that sees two islands needs at least one bridge to each.
  5. Check my work marks the bridges that are wrong. A hint settles one pair of islands: it costs a little XP, never time.
  6. There is a new puzzle every day, the same for everyone: 7 by 7 from Sunday to Tuesday, 9 by 9 from Wednesday to Friday, 12 by 12 on Saturday. Every puzzle has one solution and can be solved by logic alone.

Keyboard: arrows move from island to island, Shift and an arrow builds a bridge that way (again for a double, again to clear), U to undo.
