Binary Puzzle

Zeros and ones: never three in a row, as many of each.

Preparing today's puzzle…

How to play the binary puzzle

  1. Fill every square with a 0 or a 1.
  2. Never three identical symbols side by side or one above another. Every row and every column holds as many 0s as 1s. No two rows are the same, and no two columns are the same.
  3. Tap a square to write 0, tap again for 1, a third time to empty it. With a keyboard, press 0 or 1.
  4. Look for two alike side by side: the squares on either end must be the other symbol. Between two alike with a gap, the gap is the other symbol too. When a line has its share of one symbol, the rest is the other.
  5. Check my work marks the squares that are wrong. A hint fills in one square: it costs a little XP, never time.
  6. There is a new puzzle every day, the same for everyone: 6 by 6 from Sunday to Tuesday, 8 by 8 from Wednesday to Friday, 10 by 10 on Saturday. Every puzzle has one solution and can be solved by logic alone.

Keyboard: arrows to move, 0 and 1 to write, Space to cycle, Backspace to erase, U to undo.
